Terms of service

This is a temporary, invitation-only research explorer for dataset visualisation and discussion of wood and optoelectronics value chains. It shows work in progress, not a completed research publication.

Purpose and read-only use

The site brings together emerging findings, supporting evidence and open questions to support conversations between researchers and participating organisations. Readers may navigate, filter, compare and view the material made available to them. These actions do not change the underlying research datasets. Managing your sign-in credentials is separate from editing research.

Provisional findings and availability

Coverage, methods and interpretations may change as evidence is reviewed. Read each view's sources, dates, assumptions and limitations. A publication date shows when the explorer was updated, not when every observation was collected. The material is not a guarantee about any company, region or future outcome, and should be checked against its cited evidence before use in decisions.

The operator may correct, replace or withdraw material, interrupt access for maintenance/security, or close this temporary site when its purpose ends. It is not a permanent archive or a promise of continuous availability. Where reasonably practicable, we will give notice of a planned closure or a material access change.

Your invitation and confidential access

Use your own authorised account and keep passwords and private invitation links confidential. Do not share an account, bypass access controls, interfere with the service or try to identify people from aggregated or restricted material. Access may be limited or revoked for security, misuse or the end of the authorised research purpose; contact us if you believe this happened in error.

An invitation is permission to view the material within its stated research context. It does not require you to take part in an interview, provide confidential business information or endorse a finding. Any separate research participation is voluntary and subject to its own information and arrangements.

Sources, reuse and comments

Respect source attribution, stated licences, confidentiality labels and the rights of the respective content owners. An invitation does not itself grant unrestricted permission to republish restricted research. Ask the operator before distributing such material outside the intended discussion. Rights and exceptions provided by law remain available.

Please raise errors, questions and differing interpretations through the research contact. Do not send trade secrets, sensitive personal information or confidential third-party records unless a separate, appropriate arrangement has been agreed.

Privacy and applicable rights

The privacy policy and cookie notice explain account data and essential browser storage. Reading these terms does not constitute consent to optional tracking or waive your GDPR rights.

Applicable Latvian law and mandatory EU protections govern use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, removes applicable consumer or data-protection rights, or prevents you from using a competent court or supervisory authority.

Changes and contact

The version date above identifies these terms. Material changes will be communicated appropriately and apply prospectively; they do not remove existing mandatory rights. Contact the operator below about access, errors, reuse or these terms.
